The Austin Community College offers phlebotomy training through its Eastview and Round Rock campuses. This phlebotomy training in Austin TX is taught through two classes over 16 weeks. The first is a basic phlebotomy class and the second is the practicum. The basic class is taught in a classroom and lab format over eight weeks. The practicum is 112 total hours and requires students to attend four hours a day Monday through Friday during the daytime. The practicum is an eight week class during a regular semester and 5.5 weeks in the summer. The total cost of the program is $416 for students in the community college district. That includes $248 for tuition and $168 for fees. The tuition will be high for out of district and out of state students.
Students can get college credit if they enroll in Austin Community College. All students must have all immunizations and vaccinations for the program.
