The is phlebotomy training in Dayton Ohio through Sinclair Community College.The requirements for this program includes two classes. The first class is made up of one hour of lecture and three hours of laboratory hours per week for the semester. The second class is made up of a one hour lecture each week and 10 hours of practicum experience for the semester. The two classes must be taken within 12 weeks of each other. For Montgomery County residents the total cost of the program is $1,129. This includes tuition ($554), books ($200), uniform ($100), physical/immunizations ($200) and travel for practicum ($75).

The uniform for first class is a white lab coat with white shoes. The second class requires students to wear a scrubs or white dress pants/ shirt with a lab coat. There is another alternative for phlebotomy training in Ohio through Ohio Medical Career Center. The total cost of the program is $1,357. This is a class taught in a three week format. The 104 hour class runs from 8:30AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday. Students that complete the program will be eligible to take the National Healthcareer Association examination. The program requires that students complete an application, enrollment agreements and all related contact information sheets. You must have a current AHA or Red Cross CPR card. There is also a physical examination and TB test required.

The next class starts August 18 2014 and runs through September 5, 2014. Two more class session start on October 6, 2014 and November 24, 2014.

Edison Community College
